Dodd-Frank Act

The Dodd-Frank Act is a U.S. law enacted after the 2008 financial crisis to reform financial regulation. It increased oversight of banks and financial markets and introduced consumer protection measures.

The law created new regulatory bodies and rules, including stress testing, derivatives oversight, and the Volcker Rule. It also established the CFPB to protect consumers.
