EBITDA is a measure of operating performance that excludes interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. It is commonly used to compare profitability across companies.
EBITDA is not a formal GAAP metric and can be calculated in different ways. It is often used in valuation and debt covenant analysis and is derived from the income statement.
